Registered Play Therapist Supervision Hello RPT Candidates! If you are looking to be a registered play therapist, this section is for you.I became an RPT in 2016 and an RPT-S in 2019. I’m passionate about play therapy and always excited to help bring other professionals into the fold. My style is consultative in nature, I find learning is accomplished best when supervisees are supported in the practical application of the learning guidelines that the association for play therapy has created. This occurs by supervisees bringing case conceptualizations into the sessions and then exploring together how models and/or skills learned in the continuing education component can be applied to those cases.
I enjoy supporting supervisees with the logistics and organization of the process of becoming an RPT, using spreadsheets to track your continuing education, client hours, and supervision hours, to maximize your financial investment in the process.

Clinical Supervision for Maryland LGPC providers Cassidy is approved to provide supervision for LGPC’s in Maryland. Most of my supervisees work for group practices receiving some of their supervision hours that way, and work with me to build up their skills in working with children and their families.
Having worked in a variety of settings (inpatient, IOP, CMHC’s and private practice), I have a unique perspective on the multi-faceted aspects of becoming a professional counselor and am passionate about supporting folks in their graduate licensing stage.

Clinical Consultation for Fully Licensed Providers Working with children and families comes with a set of challenges that lends itself to seeking consultation, whether that be ongoing or case specific. Sometimes, we get so lost in anxiety about meeting caregiver expectations for the therapy process, that we can't see the forest for the trees. One of my favorite parts of consulting with other providers is the opportunity to zoom out, act like a drone surveying the area, and working together to identify some possible perspectives and approaches to take with your clients. I've also found that with a shift away from the norm of recent graduates moving directly into community mental health positions, and either launching into a group or private practice soon after graduation, there is a deep need for folks to invest in support that allows for them to make aligned decisions in their business. While I do not offer business coaching, I have been a business coaching client, an employee, and an entrepreneur, so I am often approached with and able to support clinicians around making changes in their professional life. From transitioning out of a group practice to preparing to be a location independent therapist, I've got you covered. Supervision/Clinical Consultation General FAQs:
